Having trouble with Kyōfolio? Here are quick solutions to common issues.

If you’re stuck, email [email protected] with:

  • what device you’re on (iPhone/Android/Mac/Windows)
  • what browser you’re using (Safari/Chrome/Edge)
  • what you expected to happen vs what happened
  • a screenshot if possible

In this guide

  • Login and account issues
  • Calendar sync problems
  • Display and highlighting issues
  • Basic troubleshooting steps

Login and account issues

I can’t sign in

Try these in order:

  • Double-check you’re using the right email address
  • Try resetting your password
  • Refresh the page
  • Try a different browser (or an incognito/private window)
  • Disable browser extensions temporarily (ad blockers and privacy tools can interfere)

If it still won’t work, email [email protected].

I can log in, but I’m seeing a paywall

That usually means one of these is true:

  • your free trial ended and you haven’t subscribed
  • your subscription was canceled and the paid period has ended

You can still access Profile (including Profile → Subscription → Manage) to check or update your subscription.

Calendar sync issues

Kyōfolio supports Google Calendar, iCloud, and ICS calendar links. Calendar sync is read-only and provides context in Today.

My calendar isn’t syncing

Try:

  • Go to your calendar connection settings and confirm the calendar is still connected
  • Disconnect and reconnect the calendar connection
  • Refresh the app (Cmd/Ctrl + R)

Calendar refresh happens when you open the app and then every ~15 minutes, so if you just added an event, give it a moment (or refresh).

Events aren’t appearing

Check:

  • The event is on the calendar you connected (not a different one)
  • The event has a valid start/end time (all-day events can behave differently depending on provider)
  • You’re looking at the correct date in Today
  • Refresh the page

If something is clearly missing, email [email protected] and include the event time/provider (no need to send private details if you don’t want to).

Display and highlighting issues

I don’t see my tasks

Try:

  • Confirm you’re in the right Day Type (Work/Personal/Mixed/Rest) and Energy level
  • Check whether the tasks are deferred to a future date (deferred tasks won’t appear until that date)
  • Check whether the tasks have a Target date set for a different day
  • Refresh the page

Highlights look wrong

A few reminders:

  • Highlighting is a guide, not a rule
  • You can still access and work on non-highlighted tasks

Try:

  • Switch your Day Type
  • Adjust your Energy level
  • Check whether tasks have Target dates set (targeted tasks highlight on that specific day)

Tasks aren’t showing in Today

Try:

  • Confirm the tasks aren’t deferred
  • Confirm Target dates (if set) match today
  • Pull tasks in from your inbox/projects/queue as needed
  • Refresh the page

Basic troubleshooting steps

Page not loading

Try:

  • Refresh (Cmd/Ctrl + R)
  • Check your internet connection (Kyōfolio does not currently support offline mode)
  • Try a different browser
  • Disable extensions temporarily
  • Clear site data (cookies/cache) for Kyōfolio and try again

Slow performance

Try:

  • Close extra tabs
  • Refresh the page
  • Disable extensions temporarily
  • Try Chrome or Edge if you’re on a different browser

If it persists, email [email protected] and tell us what screen felt slow.

Data not saving

Kyōfolio needs an internet connection to save changes.

Try:

  • Check your connection
  • Refresh the page
  • Try the action again

If you think something was lost, email [email protected] right away with what you were doing and when.

When to contact support

Email [email protected] if you’re seeing:

  • sign-in issues that persist after trying the steps above
  • missing or incorrect calendar events after reconnecting
  • unexpected behavior or something that “doesn’t feel right”
  • anything that looks like data loss
  • bugs, feedback, or feature requests
