Installing Kyōfolio

Install Kyōfolio like an app on iPhone, iPad, Android, or desktop—so it’s one tap away when you’re ready to plan.

Kyōfolio is a web app, but you can install it like a native app (a PWA) on most devices. That gives you a faster, more “app-like” experience—and most importantly: one-tap access when your brain is already tired.

In this guide

  • What “installing” means (and what it doesn’t)
  • Install on iPhone / iPad (Safari)
  • Install on Android (Chrome)
  • Install on desktop (Chrome / Edge)
  • Troubleshooting

What installing Kyōfolio does

Installing Kyōfolio:

  • adds a Kyōfolio icon to your home screen / dock
  • opens Kyōfolio in its own window (less browser clutter)
  • makes it feel more like a real app

Installing Kyōfolio does not:

  • make Kyōfolio work offline (internet is still required)
  • give Kyōfolio extra permissions you didn’t approve
  • sync anything differently (your account sync stays the same)

Install on iPhone / iPad (Safari)

Apple doesn’t allow “Install” prompts the same way Android/desktop do, but it’s still easy.

  1. Open Kyōfolio in Safari (Chrome on iOS is secretly Safari in a trench coat and can be unreliable for install.)
  2. Tap the Share icon (the square with the up arrow)
  3. Scroll and tap Add to Home Screen
  4. Tap Add

Now Kyōfolio will show up on your home screen like an app.

If you don’t see “Add to Home Screen”

  • Make sure you’re using Safari
  • Try closing Safari and reopening it
  • If you’re in a private browsing tab, switch to a normal tab

Install on Android (Chrome)

  1. Open Kyōfolio in Chrome
  2. Look for an Install banner or button (often near the address bar)
  3. If you don’t see it, tap the ⋮ menu (top right)
  4. Tap Install app or Add to Home screen
  5. Confirm

Kyōfolio will appear in your app launcher like any other app.

Install on desktop (Chrome or Edge)

  1. Open Kyōfolio in Chrome or Microsoft Edge
  2. Look for the Install icon in the address bar (it may look like a monitor with a down arrow, or a plus)
  3. Click Install
  4. Confirm

Kyōfolio will open in its own window and can be pinned to your dock/taskbar.

If you don’t see the install icon

  • Refresh the page
  • Make sure you’re not in an incognito/private window
  • Try Chrome/Edge (some browsers don’t support install the same way)

Troubleshooting

“It installed, but I can’t log in”

Try:

  • opening Kyōfolio in your regular browser first and logging in
  • then opening the installed app again

“It looks zoomed in / weird”

  • On mobile: check your browser zoom settings
  • On desktop: reset zoom to 100%

“I installed it, but it still opens in the browser”

That usually means the install didn’t complete. Remove it and install again using the steps above.
